As unanswered 911 calls raise alarm, Broward struggles to find a way to fix the problem

The Broward Sheriff’s Office acknowledged Tuesday it has a recruitment and retention crisis among its 911 call-takers that has left scores of emergency calls unanswered. County officials want the problem fixed, pronto.
