The proposed map of Florida congressional districts submitted by Gov. Ron DeSantis would make a dramatic change in north Florida, but do nothing to upend the six Broward and Palm Beach county districts. Under the DeSantis proposal, the two counties would almost certainly continue sending five Democrats and one Republican to Washington – even as the state’s overall congressional delegation shifts heavily toward the Republicans.
