A South Florida seagrass may lose its endangered species status since it’s actually common

Johnson’s seagrass, found in the Intracoastal Waterway of Boca Raton, Lake Worth, Biscayne Bay and a few other spots, is the only marine plant protected as an endangered species. But according to a new federal review, it’s not unique to Florida and is actually a fairly common species found in the Indian and Pacific oceans.
